I guess I'll try it out.

Blogging...I never thought I would do it for three reasons:
1. I'm not a writer.
2. I'm not deep, philosophical, wise, thought-provoking, etc.
3. I do not have anything exciting to write about.

The main reason I took the plunge and figured out how to actually post a blog is because I realized that I read the same 6-7 blogs of my closest friends everyday, and I am so grateful that they take the time to tell the world wide web what they are up to. For example, Megan Smith Johnson and Nikki Travis Bonham (who I will talk in detail about later)...I check their blogs everyday because I don't get to talk to them that much, but I desperately want to keep up with them. These two girls are who I think about when I look back at my college days and smile. We all got married and got very busy and it is not unusual when weeks go by and I realize, "Ding dang, I miss my friends!" Anyway, even though we do not talk on a daily basis, I still feel close to them because I know what they did that day, or what their husbands or doing, or because they have shared some intimate spiritual thoughts with me (and the rest of the world), through their blogs.

Even though I have nothing exciting going on in my life right now, and I'm serious, nothing at all, I would like for them to have the same opportunity as they given me. So...on that note, I'm going to try to get in the habit. I'm going to try to not wait until I'm feeling creative to blog, because that's never going to happen.

So here's to you Megan Johnson, for creating this blog. Even though I don't know how to post pictures yet, or change the layout, and I'm not even positive I'm doing this right, I'm thankful that you got me started (three months ago). Hopefully, this doesn't suck.
