How to be married to Aaron Rice

If you ever want to be married to Aaron Rice, you must be willing to give up at least 2 hours per day to listen to subjects about:

- the financial crisis
- Republican schools of thought
- Democratic schools of thought
- the war
- the FDIC
- Promissory Estoppel
- the bicameral legislature
- ACORN
- the free market
- Justice Court
- Fee Simple Defeasible with a Condition Subsequent
- how to take a soil sample, fertilize, and properly maintain your yard
- and much more

Keep in mind, that means 2 hours per subject. You can imagine how smart I must be.

One of my favorite memories of my freshman year in college was my roommate Nikki and I playing a funny and kind of mean trick on Aaron. I bet her that I could call him and get him to talk for at least 10 minutes about any subject, and she took my bet. So I called him and said, "Hey mate, could you explain to me the Boston Tea Party?" Sure enough, I won, because he was on speakerphone, and probably 30 minutes later, we knew everything about the Boston Tea Party.

To give him some credit, I must mention that I've also noticed throughout the years, and especially lately, that Aaron is 98% right on most everything. I'm not saying that he thinks he is right, I'm saying that he is, in fact, correct on most everything. That leaves me being incorrect, because I always confidently disagree with or deny whatever Aaron says. I would give an example, but it happens on a daily basis, so it is difficult to single out any one event.

I don't know what compelled me to write this. I think it was that I just listened to a 40 minute lecture on the economy and financial crisis while I was trying to watch t.v., and I had to pretend to listen to Aaron and nod every now and then while trying to keep up with what was happening on Everybody Loves Raymond. If nothing else, I'll never stop learning something new everyday, even if I never wanted to learn it in the first place. But I love him and his infinite wisdom and I know he will use his knowledge to support me and Jake forever and ever.

Um, my name is Bob (I'm a little nervous here), my wife is Judi & we have a little girl, Abigail.

We love Haley, Dan & Kate and know that if Haley thinks someone is funny we should look into it. Haley is about 98% correct in identifying funny people & topics.

And I'd like to hear more about the FDIC, Fannie Mae, financial meltdowns , etc etc and still...well...laugh.

So how can this husband of yours, Aaron, be reached? Does he blog? (Cuz if he can talk for hours you could surely off-load some of that by getting him to blog! The blogosphere needs more good men to ramble on topics other than sports.) :)
