Aaron Rice and his cookies.

Inspired by Haley's blog, I decided to celebrate Aaron's completion of a huge monster final with some homemade chocolate chip cookies. Let me just say...she was right. These are some great cookies. I don't do homemade anything very often, or at all, but after eating these cookies I will never go back to slice and bake. Her recipe made almost 60, and Aaron would eat all of 59 cookies if he had the time and enough milk, so I'm boxing about 50 of them up and taking them to work tomorrow. Now maybe I'll be popular amongst my colleagues. My cookie empire:

I think I went a good solid three weeks without eating sweets, but today I sacrificed my fast for my husband. He took an exam today that started at 1:00 and finished at 5:30. Aaron spent many sleepless nights in preparation for this exam, so I figured cookies would make him feel warm and fuzzy for a little while, at least until tomorrow when he starts studying for his next final. I also picked up a pizza because I knew my oven would be busy for the evening, and for the cherry on top, I rented a movie. I'm spoiling the man.

The main reason for this post was because I got a call this morning from my dad bellyaching that my lack of blogging has caused him severe anxiety because he doesn't have anything to read in the morning. So cheers to my dad. I told you I don't have anything to write about.

Kelly! I am so glad the cookies turned out. And they really are worth the home-baking. I bet Aaron was thrilled. Tell him congrats for me on the finished Hell Final. I cringe thinking about that.
